what do you know about photography and/or photo editing? do you take photos? how do you take photos? do you edit photos before posting them on social media? how do you edit them? explain any background or knowledge you have about photography and photo editing. do you like it? do you have any interest?

i really don't know much about photography and photo editing. yes, i take photos; however, they're generally for my own enjoyment (example: snapchat) and memories. i usually don't edit my photos or put any filters on it whether i keep it for myself or post it online. i also don't have much knowledge of photography and/or photo editing. photography and photo editing does seem interesting for me, but it's not something i would do as anything more than just for fun/for myself.

tell me about your spring break.

i really didn't do much over spring break - most of it was spent at home. the first day i hung out with my boyfriend and our friend. we went to two parks and our other friends house. the first friday of break, my dad arrived from romania (he left to go back this morning. he'll be back around the end of the school year). we spent the entire week with him eating out, shopping, and just spending time at home. during the week i also hung out with my boyfriend again as well as some other friends a few days later. though i didn't do much, i was glad i got to stay home and relax.

what are you doing over spring break?

i really don't have any plans over spring break (i know i'm not going anywhere). however, my dad's been on a business trip in romania for three months (he left on january 6th) and he's going to come over during spring break (on friday), and he'll be going back to romania next sunday. i'm pretty excited to see him since we don't get to talk much because of the time difference and the bad connection he has. we don't really know what we're going to be doing. probably just hang out at home and go out a few times. hopefully i'll be able to see my friends over a few times over break - for the most part, most of them will be staying here in kansas. i'm really looking forward to having a week and a half off school!

tell me about your weekend.

my weekend was great! in the beginning, i had relay for life, and it was a lot of fun. i don't really have a favorite part of it - it was just really fun to be around my friends, knowing we're helping a good cause. i also can't believe we raised over $213,000! i'm really looking forward to doing this again next year. when i got home at seven in the morning, i crashed and woke up in the late afternoon. i finished up some homework, and went back to sleep. sunday morning i went to church, and then i spent the rest of the day with my boyfriend. we went to amc and say big hero 6 (which was hilarious. i totally recommend it), the mall, and then met up with a friend and went to chili's. i really enjoyed my weekend!

if you were the principal of bvhs for a week, what would it look like? what would change? why?

if i was the principal, i wouldn't change too much. i think mr. bacon is very good at what he does. he sets a positive attitude and a positive environment for the student body. one of the things i would want to do is make sure students are happy about the way the teach, and make sure the teachers are actually teaching (i've had several that don't do much). i would also fix the school wifi, allow seniors to leave for lunch, and i would allow students to change their classes just to be with a teacher they like (teaching style, etc. i want my students to know they have good teachers).

give 10 pieces of advice on how to create an amazing presentation.

1. limit your words. don't use paragraphs of information in your presentation.
2. make sure your information is correct. look at multiple websites to make sure they are all in agreement - don't look at just one.
3. if you're expressing an opinion, make sure to state it's an opinion. otherwise, it will appear as false/biased information.
4. simplify, don't have a ton of crazy things all going on at once (bright background with bright texts and colorful images, etc).
5. add visuals. many people tend to remember and understand information better if they have a clear visual or image to go along with it.
6. don't put too much information on one slide. unless you're limited to the number of slides you can use, you're free to use several.
7. make sure the topics and information on one single slide are related to one another.
8. have a theme. this will make the overall appearance of your presentation look much better and neater.
9. triple check to make sure there are no grammatical errors or typos.
10. don't read only what is written on a slide. elaborate while speaking.

tell me about your weekend.

this weekend was pretty good. on friday, i attended all three basketball games (girls varsity, boys varsity, and the teacher game). the teacher game was by far my favorite though i wish it was a full game and not just the first half. the two photos above were taken at the game - the one of the left is me with my friends noah and nick while the one on the right is me and my boyfriend. saturday was a super lazy day for me and i really didn't do anything. sunday i had a slow morning, and then went to work.
