yesterday i had you choose a global issue and you wrote about it on your blog. today on your blog i want you to tell me about two different perspectives of your global issue. are there people for and against your issue? do people disagree on your issue? is it a topic that can cause controversy? look at the issue for two different perspectives. tell me about those perspectives.
yes, my topic (feminism/sexism/women's rights) generally has two different views. the first view would be people who are feminists themselves and believe that the genders still are not equal. these people look globally - not just within our country. they do not tolerate sexist jokes and want/believe the equal treatment of all genders (politically and socially).
on the other hand, there are the people who are anti-feminism and genuinely believe that all women have just as many rights as men do, and some people (usually referring to a specific country or culture) don't believe women and men should be treated as equals.
this topic is fairly controversial as the term "feminism" has been given a bad connotation.
